Compression stockings
Used for conservative varicose veins treatment with the help of specially woven stockings, or knee-highs, which create a so-called graduated pressure on different parts of the leg, which slowly decreases towards the thighs (described by mm Hg - millimeters of mercury), the higher the value of mm Hg, the stronger the compression
- there are four compression classes, which are divided according to the pressure in the ankle area
- when procuring them, it is necessary to proportion the circumferences of the legs in the ankle and calf area
- do not forget that they are put on in the morning and in a lying position
1. compression class (moderate): /15-20 mm Hg/ are used in everyday wear for the prevention and incipient swelling of the legs, in situations with long sitting or standing, or with slight sensations of "heavy legs" .
